There are a lot of reasons to make an investment in real estate in the Midwest. To understand why it is a good decision first you need a little bit of history. The Midwest was a place of rapid expansion in the early and mid 1900's there were a lot of factories that were build which supported the local economies by supplying jobs to those living in the area.

In the later part of the century it became extremely cost efficient for the companies who operated manufacturing facilities in the Midwest to move their facilities overseas into places like china and Korea because of cheap labor costs. This made the economy in the Midwest crumble and as a result real estate prices toppled.

Until just recently there have been no signs of improvement in the Midwest and so investing in property in that part of the country has been a relatively bad idea. However, the government has recently been imposing tariffs and quotas on foreign companies shipping goods into the states and thus significantly raising the overall costs of these companies' imports.

The response by many corporations such as Toyota has been to build manufacturing facilities in the states and what is the cheapest place to find labor? The unemployed Midwest. This means that in places like Missouri where new factories are being built real estate prices are bound to improve and we will see a resurgence of the local economy.

Since homes in the Midwest are currently at rock bottom low prices entry into the market is inexpensive. The key is finding out where these foreign companies are going to be investing. The reason these foreign companies are investing in these states is because the US has recently imposed tariffs and quotas in goods imported into the United State through foreign companies.

In order to avoid these costs of doing business in these markets, foreign companies have decided to build manufacturing systems within US borders. This way they will be able to make the money with the US people, so they begin to make these companies in the US so that these tariffs do not apply to them. It's a great way for these companies to bypass the laws while also providing jobs for the US people.
